When walking in the jungle you might catch a glimpse of the local fauna you can find here.
Another stop on the trekking is a hidden Maya temple, where the local guide will explain more about the history etc. You would have to know the temple is there, because it is almost entirely overgrown with vegetation.
The ultimate end of the trekking is a waterfall where you will have about an hour to enjoy the water to relax after the trekking. For the adrenaline junky, there is a jump point of about 5 to 6 meter, or you can also go and take a look in a cave close by where you will find some bats still.

Very interesting to see how the 2 different things are mixed. After that, you will visit Zinacantan, where you will visit a women’s association. Here you can see the traditional way the use to make clothes . Get to know the local and traditional kitchen, and prepare yourself a delicious taco, as if you were part of the community.

We recommend to take the free walking city tour that leaves every day at 5pm from the Plaza de la Paz (find the orange umbrellas). There is always a tour in Spanish and in English, and the tour takes about 3h. Ideal to get to know the beautiful San Cristóbal a little bit better, along with its history.
