Day 1: Airport of departure – Cancun – Puerto Morelos
After your arrival in Cancún, you will be picked up for transfer to Puerto Morelos. Depending on the hour of arrival, the fatigue, etc. we can arrange already a first activity, such as visiting the botanical garden, or visiting a cenote on the Ruta de los Cenotes.

Day 2: Puerto Morelos – Tulum – Cobá – Tulum
Today you should leave early, around 8h00 to make the most of your day. You are headed for Tulum, where you will get a private guided tour in English. This mythical place by the ocean gives you a good idea how well the Maya have evolved, and how ingenious they were. Get to know El Castillo that towers above the ocean a make a beautiful snapshot of this unique view, since Tulum is the only Maya settlement by the ocean. Admire the way Maya people learned how to build smarter and better, as this is a Post-Classical Maya settlement, just like Chichén Itza. After that visit, you will go to Cobá, where we will lunch before visiting the archaeological site of Cobá.
Then you will the needed energy to go and visit Cobá. The fun part, is that this site is completely different than Tulum. You will immediately notice the difference in style of building. An English guide will take you through the site. The site is quite big to cover, so you can rent a bike to visit the complex (optionally) and not to lose too much time. Due to time limitation, and the fact you will climb the main temple, it is not such a bad idea. Make sure to climb the main temple to have the amazing surrounding jungle views as you see in the picture here. After these discoveries, you will visit one the many cenotes that surround the area of Cobá, so you can have a refreshing dip after all the walking you have done that day. You will stay here about an hour or so. Afterwards, you return to Tulum, where you can enjoy the evening.

Day 3: Tulum – Chichen Itza – Valladolid
An early wake up call, but who would not be excited to visit one of the seven world wonders! Upon arrival your private tour starts so you can beat the crowds, and more important, the heath of the sun. Discover the secrets of Maya civilisation and glance at the most known pyramid, known as the pyramid of the feathered snake, or Kukulcan. After this visit, you will drive to Hacienda Oxman, where you can not only have lunch, but afterwards, you can have a dip in the cenote.
Ready to discover Valladolid? You will the time to do this by yourself, as the city tour is planned for tomorrow. You can stroll around the colourful streets, the lovely city square, and enjoy a nice meal in one of many good restaurants in Valladolid.
For those wanting to enjoy a sound a light show in the evening, they have to go the San Bernardino Monastery. Each night, they host a light and sound show depicting the history of the city on the walls of the monastery. First version is in Spanish, the second version is in English. Really worth while checking it out for yourself!

Day 4: Valladolid – Rio Lagartos – Las Coloradas – Valladolid
Today you will get to know the colonial city of Valladolid a little bit better in the morning. Discover how day to day life is lead here by visiting the local market. Your guide will explain with a lot of enthusiasm the history of the city, about the coloured streets, how Valladolid got its name and what the previous Maya name was and what it meant to the Maya community.
After lunch, we will leave to Las Coloradas where you can discover the beautiful pink lakes and make possibly one of the nicest holiday pictures. This place is perfect for goofy poses and photoshoots. After that, you will head to Rio Lagartos for a 2h boat ride through the nature reserve. As you make your way through the mangroves, try to spot a variety of birds, crocodiles, and flamingos, what this place is mainly known for! You will have dinner (not included) in Rio Lagartos where we can hopefully enjoy a magnificent sunset. Afterwards, you will return to Valladolid.

At this moment, your Yucatán basic package ends. Depending on your further plans in Mexico, we can assists in offering other packages, or you can finish of your travels with some chill time in one the many Riviera Maya resorts.
