Day 1: Cancun – Tulum
Arrival and welcome at the airport.

Day 2: Tulum
For many, Tulum will be at No. 2 of must see places during their visit to the Yucatan Peninsula and rightly so! El Castillo or the Castle, is a mythical place that really appeals to the imagination. High above the ocean, this building still stands as a guardian of eternity. Feel how the wind lets you enjoy this fantastic place. Our Dutch-speaking guide explains in great detail how Tulum, which means walled settlement in the Mayan language.
In the afternoon you can enjoy the beautiful beach of Tulum.

Day 3 Tulum – Bacalar
Bacalar with its beautiful, large lagoon will pleasantly surprise you all. In recent years, this destination has been gaining more and more popularity, so now is definitely the right time to enjoy Bacalar. In the afternoon we take a sailing trip on the lake and enjoy a real Mayabad (mud that makes the skin much softer)

Day 4 Bacalar – Kohunlich – Dzibanche – Xpujil
This day is entirely devoted to the Mayaruines Kohunlich and Dzibanche. Not far away with the border of Belize we discover today the ruins of Kohunlich. The majority of this ancient city is still buried under the dense rainforest.
A local English speaking guide will tell you all the secrets and our UA representative will translate everything into Dutch. Many of these temples are also still covered. In the immediate vicinity it is teeming with fauna. Thus we can encounter deer, armadillos, gray foxes, spider monkey monkeys among others.

Day 5 Xpujil – Calakmul- Palenque
Calakmul will not immediately ring a bell with many. Close your eyes and hear the monkey sounds and all the other birds that call the jungle their home. After a short walk, the various ruins suddenly appear. The highest temple has an amazing view of the dense jungle of the state of Campeche. Our local English-speaking guide gives a complete explanation of these beautiful Mayaruines. In the afternoon we continue the drive to Palenque

Day 6 Palenque – Misol-Ha waterfalls – Agua Azul waterfalls – Palenque
We first visit the Misol-Ha waterfalls, a 35 meter high waterfall where the water falls in three pieces. We continue this voyage of discovery to the other waterfalls in the same state of Chiapas: that of Agua Azul. A lot busier than Misol-Ha but actually a real mandatory stop due to the size of these waterfalls.

Day 7 Palenque – Campeche
In the morning we visit the beautiful ruins of Palenque. One of the archaeological sites
This will be the longest ride that we will make during the tour. We enjoy Palenque in the morning. Before entering the state of Campeche, we will stop at Champoton.
In the late afternoon we have some time to enjoy the pleasant city of Campeche.

Day 8 Campeche – ruins Uxmal – Merida
Today the day is dominated by one of the most beautiful Mayaruines of Yucatan. Everything here has been preserved in an unbelievably good condition. We will do this visit for 2 hours under the guidance of a Dutch-speaking guide. Afterwards we will optionally visit the Uxmal chocolate museum and you can judge whether Belgian chocolate remains the best in the world. We then continue to Campeche, followed by a short city visit.
In the evening it is pleasant to stay on the various squares that Merida has and we enjoy the nice, separate pleasant atmosphere.

Day 9 Merida – Izamal – Valladolid
In the morning we explore the main square with the beautiful cathedral.
and take a ride through the Paseo del Montejo (the main avenue of Merida).
Then we leave for Izamal for a first stop. Izamal is a 2nd Pueblo Magico and is also called the city of three cultures (the archaeological ruins, the special construction of the houses and the monastery, not to mention the local people who respect their traditions but still participate in modern times). We will stop here for a short city tour that will give you a nice idea about the town of Izamal. In the neighborhood we will have an authentic Mayan ceremony by one of the last true Mayan priests still alive of the last generation.
In the evening we discover Valladolid by night and the very special atmosphere.

Day 10 Valladolid – Las Coloradas – Rio Lagartos – Valladolid
Today we get to know the beautiful colonial town of Valladolid in more depth during the morning. Discover better how daily life takes place here by, among other things, a visit to the local market. Our Dutch-speaking guide will also be full of enthusiasm about the colorful streets and their history
After lunch we will take you to one of the most beautiful photos of our trip, this just before a rose colored lake. The trip continues to the fishing village of Rio Lagartos where everything revolves around fishing and the nature reserve. We divide into two groups to spot flamingos and crocodiles among our mangroves together with our boats.
Supper (not included) we hold in Rio Lagartos where we can enjoy a beautiful sunset. Then we started our return trip to Valladolid.

Day 11 Valladolid – Chichen Itza – Puerto Morelos
In the morning we leave to see one of the Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza! Our English speaking guide will be able to tell you with all her passion about this wonder of the world for 2.5 hours. Discover with her the beautiful architecture and astronomy of the Mayas. Take beautiful pictures of the main pyramid Kukulcan and admire the other beautiful sites the ball game held, a sacred game of life and death.
Along the way we get acquainted with the countryside and we pass several villages. In some places time seems to have stood still and we see dogs walking on the road, transport in bicitaxis (local Thai tuktuks).
After lunch we continue the trip to Puerto Morelos where, after this wonderful trip, we have some free time to rest or to discover other enormously fascinating places.
